This project aims to analyze all the problems that arise regarding Distributed Generation, and specially the impact on the distribution network. It seeks to draw regulatory conclusions from these results: what the real advantages and disadvantages are of the large-scale introduction of DG, and what kind of regulation enhances these advantages and reduces or controls the disadvantages. It will be necessary to determine the impact of DG on investment costs and network planning, operation and maintenance costs (including energy losses) and quality of service costs.
